In many ways, Katherine Wintsch has it made as a mother. She has healthy children, a supportive husband, a live-in nanny, a business that follows her passion, enough money for a few frills, and loving parents nearby. Even with all that help, she finds that being a mother can be hard. So when she thinks of mothers who are living on the edge, without families to support them or financial resources for daily expenses, she finds it impossible to turn her back. She’s hoping she can convince others to share that view this year.
