Richmond police have identified the man killed by gunfire early Saturday as Misael E. Maldonado Garcia, 30, of the 4600 block of Southwood Parkway. He was found lying in a drainage ditch near the entrance to the Southwood Apartments on Richmond's south side about 3:30 a.m. Saturday, after police were flagged down by a person who heard a gunshot.
