The Richmond Christmas Mother Fund has awarded an additional $15,000 to The Salvation Army Central Virginia for its Christmas distribution program. The Salvation Army was already the biggest beneficiary of the annual fundraising effort sponsored by the Richmond Times-Dispatch. The additional grant means a total of $165,000 will be available this year to support Salvation Army efforts to provide Christmas gifts for needy children and seniors.
